Molding and Trims

Room dividers, two-surface transitions, EcoShield® offers perfect colors match transitions molding accessories to help your new floor look, in a word, finished.

T-Molding

T-Molding is used to transition two floors of the same height typically installed between rooms or in entryways.

Reducer

Reducer is used to transition floors of unequal height from wood/laminate floors to carpet, vinyl or tiles. This molding will provide a seamless look when transitioning between flooring surfaces.

You vinyl flooring must be acclimated in the room of installation for minimum of 48 hours with the temperature between 65°F to 86°F before, during and after installation.

1/4″ or 1/2″ Spacers, 25 Degree Wedge, Tape Measure, Circular Miter, or Jig Saw, T-square, Utility Knife with spare blades, Vinyl Glue, Tape, Safety Glasses and Vacuum.

This product can be glued down with a flooring adhesive if any of these conditions exist in your home: uneven floor surfaces, large windows, significant temperature fluctuations, high foot traffic, stairs, or expansive floor plans exceeding 750 square feet. In such cases, an approved vinyl flooring adhesive should be applied with a trowel (not a roller) between the subfloor and the plank. This recommendation also applies to cottages, seasonal homes, and RVs lacking temperature control.

Ecoshield vinyl floors are suitable for installation over radiant heating systems, provided that the heating element is not in direct contact with the flooring.

It can be installed over most types of subfloor and existing floors and all grade levels: such as Above Grade, On Grade and Below Grade. 

Subfloor Requirements: 

  • All substrates must be structurally sound and free from movement or deflection 
  • The substrate must be clean, dry, flat and free of any surface defects.
  • Smooth and level all irregularities with a cement based patching and leveling compound. 

Ecoshield floors is intended for indoor use only.

  • Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
  • To clean the floor, use a vacuum with a hardwood attachment or sweep it regularly.
  • If needed, wipe with a damp mop, a mild soap solution, or a vinyl floor cleaner.
  • Ecoshield Floors are waterproof, but are not guaranteed to provide a waterproofing membrane (liquids may penetrate to the space underneath the floor). Avoid pooling water on the floor. Wipe up spilt liquids. 
  • Expansions/Contraction. A daily temperature fluctuation of more than 6 degrees will cause the floor to expand or contract. To minimize daily temperature changes, sunlight may need to be blocked with window coverings.
  • Scratches are site-related and not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
